Media Visits & Story Ideas

11/2/2009

Quassy Amusement Park welcomes working journalists, broadcasters, account executives and photojournalists to the park to cover special events and feature stories of interest. Please contact Ron Gustafson, director of public relations, at 203-758-2913 ext. 109 to coordinate your visit. • Interviews with park owners and key personnel can be arranged with advance notice. • The park also requests that working photojournalists and videographers report to the park office prior to doing any work inside of the park. This measure is to ensure our guests can enjoy their visit to the fullest. At the same time, the park will work with you to accomplish your needs to the best of its ability on any given day. • Additional still photos and background information about the park are available through the public relations office upon request. • Media courtesy passes: The park can issue courtesy passes to working members of the media. This courtesy is extended for a spouse, or a friend, and up to two children. Please call the public relations office at least four days prior to your planned visit. Media passes cannot be issued for days the park is not open to the general public. • Story ideas: (1) Explore on of only 11 remaining “trolley parks” in the United States (2) Classic carousels have operated at Quassy, including today’s Grand Carousel (3) More than 70 years under the same ownership – a family affair at Quassy (4) Mixing the old with the new – nostalgia still a part of the new Quassy Amusement Park (5) Affordable Family Fun – nobody does it better than Quassy when it comes to value!
