This is another Allan Herschell ride that was part of Quassy’s original Kiddieland package that debuted in 1952. Herschell marketed the ride as the Sky Fighter and it was an immediate success at locations where it was installed. Youngsters are gently lifted into the air and fly in a circular motion in two-seat jet fighters that resemble something out of the Flash Gordon movie era. Buzzers on the fighter plane guns add to the fun. 1 ticket or wristband required to ride.

In 1952, Quassy purchased a complete Allan Herschell Co. Inc., Kiddieland consisting of four rides – the boat ride among the lineup. More than 60 years later, the attraction is as popular as ever among the younger generation as they set sail in a circular trough filled with water. The Herschell firm, of the Buffalo, NY area, built amusement rides for more than 80 years with hundreds of them still operating at amusement parks across the country. 1 ticket or wristband required to ride.

After being lifted to the top of a 16-foot tower, the seating platform descends with a series of quick, yet gentle drops. This tummy-tickler also allows one adult to take the center seat if riding with a youngster in the family. The kids line up time and again for this fun experience. 1 ticket or wristband required to ride.

When the little ones want to burn up some energy, Quassy’s Play Port is the place for them to climb and slide. This modular play unit is located in the heart of the park with seating for parents while the tots maneuver their way through the maze of tubed tunnels and slides. This attraction is for children 28 to 48 inches in height only. No teens or adults, please.
