Quassy Amusement Park has great events all season, so now is the time to look over the 2010 Special Events Calendar and plan your summer season at the park. Topping off the calendar will be Quassy's gigantic July 4th "3-D" Fireworks celebration. And see our world-class entertainment at the Vacation Village Resorts Lakeside Theatre stage in July and August. Monday and Wednesday - July & August

"Bargain Day" - $18 for an All-Day Ride Pass & "Saturation Station" Pass. (NOTE: Bargain Day pricing not valid on legal holidays)

Tuesday and Thursday - July & August

Price Chopper's Food Drive - Bring a canned food item from Price Chopper and receive $3 off the price of a $22 wristband. All food will be donated to food banks.

Friday Night - Starting May 28

50-Cent Fabulous Fridays - (after 5 pm), Rides, Pepsi, Cotton Candy and Hot Dogs $.50.(Final 50-cent night of 2010 season is Sept. 3)

Saturday Night - Starting May 29

$25 Carload Night - (after 5 pm) then every Saturday night in June, July & August (also Sept. 4) everyone in the car gets an evening ride and "Saturation Station" pass for only $25. Parking charge is included.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Prizes and loads of fun at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children at 3 p.m.

May 1 & 2

Carload Weekend - $30 gets everyone in your car an All-Day Ride Pass! Parking included.

May 8 & 9

Ready To Read Weekend With 'Clifford' - Quassy kicks off its annual summer reading program with special appearances by 'Clifford' the Big Red Dog at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. both days.

Treat Mom To A Free Dinner - It's Mother's Day and you can treat mom to a free dinner and all-day wristband just by bringing her to Quassy! Mom must be accompanied by a child for this special offer, and please note that ONLY mom can redeem the free wristband and dinner voucher she will receive when entering the park.

Art In The Park - Sidewalk chalk art competition for elementary, middle and high school teams.

May 29, 30 & 31

Hit The Beach - Quassy Beach and "Saturation Station" open for the season on Memorial Day Weekend. Conquer the "Tunnel Twister" waterslides at "Saturation Station."

June 5

Rev3 Triathlon - Hundreds of athletes will compete in this world-class triathlon.

June 12

Sixth Annual School Music Festival - Regional school bands and orchestras will perform during the afternoon at the Lakeside Theatre stage.

June 13

Travel Expo - There's plenty to do this summer right on the doorstep. The Travel Expo will be set up along the walkways in the park 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a variety of booths geared toward family activities and accommodations. Free admission with parking $5.

June 27

Annual Karate Day - Get some kicks out of this highly-entertaining day at the Lakeside Theatre stage. Regional karate and martial arts schools perform. Call for entertainment schedule.

July 4

"3-D" Fireworks - Have a blast this July 4th at Quassy. Special "3-D" fireworks presentation after dark to benefit Prevent Blindness Tri-State. Viewing glasses will be sold for $1. Parking $7 on July 4th. Presented by Naugatuck Savings Bank, Gibraltar Pools, Price Chopper.

"All American Thrill Spectacular" - Fabulous family entertainment with daily shows starting at 1 p.m. See the Giant Space Wheel, Arial Trapeze and more!

Aug. 2 -15

"Kent Family Magic Circus" - Back by popular demand, the "Kent Family Magic Circis" will have new and exciting acts for 2010! Daily shows start at 1 p.m.

Dance Day - Annual Dance Day returns to the park with local and area dance schools and studios performing at "Carousel Court."

Sept. 4, 5 & 6

Carload Weekend - $30 Carload Weekend all Labor Day Weekend at Quassy! Support the Campership Fund as a portion of the weekend proceeds helps to send kids to camp!

Sept. 4 & 5

Irish Dance Competition - 14th Annual Constitution State Feis (Irish Dance Competition) with hundreds of dancers from throughout New England competing. To take place at the Lakeside Theatre and patio area. Presented by the Horgan Academy of Irish Dance.

Sept. 4, 5 & 6

Meet 'Lyle, Lyle Crocodile' - Special meet and greet sessions with 'Lyle, Lyle Crocodile' at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. all three days in support of Quassy's reading program!

Sept. 12

8th Annual Antique And Classic Truck And Car Fest - Presented by the Golden Age of Trucking Museum in Middlebury, CT. The 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. event is great for the entire family and takes place in Quassy's parking lot. Shuttle runs from the nearby museum to the park. Parking $5, with free admission to the fest.

Sept. 18

Family Day At Quassy - A fun day for all. Come see what Scouting is all about! Activities in the field from 10 a.m. to noon. A benefit to support the Scouting programs in Connecticut Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America and its 32,000 youth members! Come be a part of the Boy Scouts of America as we begin the celebration of the 101st anniversary of Scouting. The journey starts now! The day includes lunch, beverages, free parking and unlimited rides. Park open from noon to 6 p.m. for rides. It will be a great time. Scout's Honor! 19th Annual Oktoberfest - German music, food, dancing in the Oktoberfest Pavilion both days starting at noon.
