Amusement Park Rides at Quassy

This is another Allan Herschell ride that was part of Quassy’s original Kiddieland package that debuted in 1952. Herschell marketed the ride as the Sky Fighter and it was an immediate success at locations where it was installed. Youngsters are gently lifted into the air and fly in a circular motion in two-seat jet fighters that resemble something out of the Flash Gordon movie era. Buzzers on the fighter plane guns add to the fun.

Up, down and all around! That’s a ride on the Quassy helicopters. Passengers have control over their individual vehicle. By pulling back on the control bar, your copter takes flight. Push forward, and you land again. An adult may ride with a child in each helicopter, making it an interactive adventure! The Allan Herschell Co. Helicopter ride debuted at Quassy in 1958.

This roller coaster has thrilled Quassy guests since 1952. Parents and grandparents alike who rode the Little Dipper as youngsters are now riding with their own children and grandchildren. A timeless classic in our original Allan Herschell Kiddieland.

One of the most popular and enduring rides ever made. The Tilt-A-Whirl offers a family riding experience like no other as the seven seats will spin you silly. The great thing, too, is that a single car on the ride can accommodate up to two adults and two children. The Sellner Mfg. Co. Tilt-a-Whirl opened at Quassy in 1977.

If whitewater rafting sounds like fun, then you will enjoy a ride on the Big Flush Water Coaster. You’ll get wet, but not soaked, on this two-person raft ride that plunges you into darkness. Hold on tight as you twist and turn before emerging on the run-out landing. The Whitewater Big Flush coaster debuted at Quassy in 1999. Two riders per raft required.

No amusement park would be complete without a carousel. At Quassy, the ornate Grand Carousel has a menagerie of animals and, yes, “jumping” horses. This spectacular 50-foot carousel has hundreds of lights, a wood platform and suspended ceiling. The Grand Carousel operates in a 1927 roundhouse – one of the oldest buildings in the park. This carousel is made by Chance Rides, and debuted at Quassy in 1990.

This miniature locomotive and coaches chug along nearly a half-mile track in the Great Lawn area of the park, and is one of the most popular rides in the park. The train ride has plenty of fun, going through a covered, dark tunnel- but watch out as the track runs directly underneath the Wooden Warrior roller coaster for added thrills. Several models of the miniature train have operated at the park with the current version from Chance Rides in Wichita, Kansas. This ride opened at Quassy in 1948.

Sit, spin and spin some more! Quassy’s Crazy Cups were an immediate hit when the park installed them for the 2012 season. Six colorful giant tea cups are attached to a rotating platform. Offers fantastic family appeal as you control how fast each cup spins. Plenty of room in each cup for parents and kids alike. The Crazy Cups were made by Zamperla Rides.

This fantastic family attraction lifts, dives and spins offering a ride like nothing else in the park. Adults encouraged to accompany their children on this interactive ride. This Zamperla Samba Balloon ride opened at Quassy in 2017.

The Zamperla Rides Bouncing Buggies debuted at Quassy in 2019. The newest family ride at the park is guaranteed to tickle your tummy. Parents will enjoy riding with their children on Bouncing Buggies, located in the heart of the park.
